Embedded Linux and bare-metal board bring-up
Bring-Up-Blitz: your new board booting, with bootloader, kernel, UART and Ethernet working.
For Arm, RISC-V and AMD FPGA SoC boards, with a full Linux stack or bare metal. Fixed price, $10K–30K.
From first power-on to a working platform
A new board has to boot before anyone can write application code on it. Bring-up is the work that gets it there: the boot chain, the kernel or bare-metal runtime, the console and the network, each tested on the real hardware.
Bring-Up-Blitz is that work as one fixed-price package. You end with a board your application team can log in to, build for and deploy to, and with the build and the documentation to reproduce it.
What you get
- Bootloader running on your board.
- Linux kernel booting to a root file system, or a bare-metal runtime, as you choose.
- UART console for login and debugging.
- Ethernet up and passing traffic.
- Reproducible builds that your team runs from a clean checkout.
- Documentation of the build, the board configuration and what was tested.
Boards we bring up
Tell us the SoC on your board. If it is not listed, ask anyway.
| AMD FPGA SoCs | Embedded Linux or bare metal on the processing system of AMD adaptive SoCs, with the FPGA fabric configured at boot |
|---|---|
| Arm processors | Cortex-A application processors running Linux; Cortex-M and Cortex-R microcontrollers running bare metal |
| RISC-V | RISC-V processors, including soft processors in an FPGA |
How an engagement runs
- Quick-Start Review. A 60-minute video session on your schematics, software and blockers, with a written action list. The $495 is credited toward any package.
- Fixed scope and price. You get a written scope with deliverables and one fixed price before work starts.
- Delivery. The work is done to that scope, with reproducible builds.
- Handover. Source, build instructions and documentation, so your team can carry on without us.
