Linux and bare-metal drivers for FPGA blocks and peripherals

Driver-In-A-Box: a custom driver for your FPGA block, sensor or peripheral.

Linux kernel drivers or bare-metal drivers, over PCIe, AXI, SPI, I2C and other buses. Fixed price, $30K–60K.

The software side of your hardware

Custom FPGA logic and new peripherals are only useful once software can drive them. The driver is the layer between the two: it configures the hardware, moves the data and reports errors, on a Linux system or on bare metal.

Driver-In-A-Box delivers one such driver, written for your hardware and your operating system, at a fixed price, with the documentation to build and deploy it again.

What you get

  • A driver for your hardware: an FPGA block, a sensor or a peripheral.
  • Linux kernel driver or bare-metal driver, to suit your platform.
  • The bus your hardware uses: PCIe, AXI, SPI, I2C or another interface.
  • Tested on your hardware, not only in simulation.
  • Repeatable build documentation, so you deploy with confidence.

Typical drivers

Examples of the hardware this package covers.

FPGA IP over AXIRegister-mapped blocks in the programmable logic of an AMD FPGA SoC, with interrupts and DMA
PCIe endpointsFPGA cards and custom devices on a PCIe link to a host processor
Sensors and convertersDevices on SPI and I2C: ADCs, DACs, temperature and power monitors
Board peripheralsGPIO, clocks and power sequencing that your board needs at boot

How an engagement runs

  1. Quick-Start Review. A 60-minute video session on your schematics, software and blockers, with a written action list. The $495 is credited toward any package.
  2. Fixed scope and price. You get a written scope with deliverables and one fixed price before work starts.
  3. Delivery. The work is done to that scope, with reproducible builds.
  4. Handover. Source, build instructions and documentation, so your team can carry on without us.
